Dan started volunteering at our Kemble office in 2015. Dan’s archaeological background includes an A-level from Cirencester College and a foundation degree in archaeology and historical landscaping from the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester. Dan has been on training digs with both the College and University. Dan spends one and a half days per week with us, working on the finds from a large scale excavation in Gloucester.
Dan says “I very much enjoy my time with Cotswold Archaeology. I feel that I have learned a lot since I began volunteering. I now know what it’s like to work in commercial archaeology and how to correctly treat artefacts and prepare them for museum deposition”.
In Dan’s spare time he likes to travel and explore historical urban and natural landscapes.
