Cotswold Archaeology is one of Britain’s leading independent archaeological fieldwork and consultancy practices. Our professional team offers a broad range of services including pre-application advice, fieldwork and post-excavation analysis and publication.
Due to current high levels of work, we require additional support in our finds processing team, to undertake the processing of finds and samples from all projects. Main duties include washing, labeling and bagging finds, sieving soils and sorting recovered items. This will involve working as part of a small team, and involves physical work, as well as record-keeping and data entry.
If you enjoy working as part of a team, have good communication skills, are reasonably IT literate and have an eye for detail and quality, we would like to hear from you. An interest in a range of archaeological finds and experience in archaeology would be an advantage, as would a full, manual driving licence. We are in a location on the northern edge of Milton Keynes, and you would ideally need your own transport to reach us.
Applications will be processed on receipt and interviews undertaken for successful candidates to start in January 2019; contracts will be offered for up to 6 months.
You Can download an application form here: Application form and a copy of the job specification here: Post-Excavation Processor If you have any questions about the post, you can call the CA Milton Keynes office on 01908 564660 and ask for Dan Stansbie.
Please submit a completed application form, CV and covering letter by email to email@example.com or by post to HR Department, Cotswold Archaeology, Building 11, Kemble Enterprise Park, Cirencester, Glos GL7 6BQ, by 5pm Tuesday 11th December 2018.
