Summary:
This report presents the results of an archaeological evaluation in the vacant plot of land to the rear of Number 20 Cricklade Street, Cirencester. Two test pits were dug, TP 1, recovered 451 sherds of pottery mainly reperesenting early to late Roman pottery. From pre- flavian samian to 4th century oxford and new forest clour coated wears. Also recovered in the late Roman Dark earth was a 7cm Bronze cast of the goddess Minerva. TP2 recovered 36 sherds of pottery, Roman, medieval and post medieval in date.
