This Wednesday we are launching our brand new and shiny, first ever, CA Virtual Museum.
The date of the launch is not coincidental – the 18th of May is International Museum Day and has been celebrated since 1977. The International Council of Museums (ICOM) states that “museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures, and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples”. With this in mind, we have created a new platform to share our findings with the public.
The CA Virtual Museum, as its name suggests, is an online venue that will feature some of the most exciting artefacts we’ve dug out of the ground over the years. Each of them will be illustrated with beautiful photographs, and some of them will be presented in 3D! Below is a sneaky peak of what it‘s going to look like…
And that’s not all! After the launch, you can expect a steady stream of new artefacts being displayed as they are ‘donated’ to the museum by our specialist finds team.
