See behind the scenes of 'Store to Store'!

This event is part of a city-wide Festival of Archaeology event, including activities at Gloucester Cathedral, St Michael’s Towe and The Folk of Gloucester.

Come and see the volunteers in action, find out more about the museum’s archives and chat to the team.

Supervised by Cotswold Archaeology staff, volunteers have now returned to the Museum of Gloucester’s Discovery Centre for another year of uncovering, repackaging and organsising finds boxes from several important excavations in Gloucester.

Last year’s project was very successful, reducing box numbers by an impressive 43%, freeing up valuable museum storage space and providing an accurate record of their archive.
