A talk by Jo Caruth and Prof. John Hines

In 1997, the discovery during archaeological excavation at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk of an Anglo-Saxon man buried alongside his richly furnished horse made national news. The analytical report on the more than 400 people buried there between 450 and 750AD was published in 2024. The authors will present some of the evidence recovered and explain how it has contributed to the developing picture of life in Anglo-Saxon Suffolk.
