The talk will examine the archaeology of the Nailsworth area in Roman times. This was a wealthy part of the Cotswolds, and the talk will cover such famous sites as the palace at Woodchester and the rich settlement at Kingscote. Why was the area so prosperous? Where did the money come from?

Venue: Sawyer Hall next to Christ Church on Newmarket Road.
