Colchester Derivative brooch, probably dating to the late 1st century AD.
The 8 coil spring is covered by wings with simple moulding at ends. The bow is undecorated apart from three paired rectangular projections to its upper part. The catchplate is solid.
The brooch matches Mackreth’s type CD Ha.Xb, which are distinguished by wave effect or projections to the upper bow.
