Ham Green Pottery
description
This plaited handle is from a Ham green jug, a pottery type which was produced in Bristol in the 12th and 13th centuries.
The jugs were hand-made and then finished on a slow wheel. The exterior was then covered with a green glaze and over the interior of the rim only.
