Harness Pendant
description
This is a ‘trifid’ harness pendant of Roman date.
The leaf-shaped plate is decorated with openwork extensions representing foliage, incised circles representing stylised bunches of grapes and radiate parallel ribs.
The semi-circular suspension loop and the lugs on the underside of the plate enable attachment to a leather strap.
