Pin
description
Some 20 pins were recovered from this site and mostly exhibit a wound-wire head, a common type made from the 15th century.
Their abundance peaks in the 16th and 17th century due in part to the growing fashion for ruffs that the pins helped to secure.
They may have also functioned for securing head coverings and used in activities such as sewing.
