We are delighted to share that Cotswold Archaeology has successfully achieved PAS 2080 certification, the British Standards Institution’s framework for carbon management in infrastructure.
Our Joint Venture partners, Oxford Archaeology, have achieved this alongside us, making us the first major archaeological contractors in the UK to hold this accreditation.
PAS 2080 supports organisations in managing carbon across projects, reducing emissions and costs while helping the sector transition toward a low‑carbon future. Gaining this accreditation reflects our ongoing commitment to industry leadership in carbon reduction and forms a key part of Cotswold Archaeology’s long‑term sustainability goals.
What is PAS 2080?
PAS 2080 is a BSI standard that sets out a consistent approach to managing carbon across the whole life of an infrastructure project; from planning and design through to construction, operation and eventual decommissioning. It encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement to drive down carbon emissions.
